At present COMSATS has 21 developing countries from across three continents including, Asia, Latin America, and Africa, as its members.

Focal points are designated in each member country to ensure that the cooperation avenues among the member states are properly explored, with the support of their respective governments. These focal points in the member countries, as selected by the respective Governments, are mostly the state/government bodies/ministries responsible for science and technology resource-management and research and development. • Financial, technical and administrative support for co-organizing joint international and regional workshops in accordance with the needs of the Member States to enhance their visibility as provider of technical cooperation to other countries.
• Participation in COMSATS’ policy-making meetings like the Coordinating Council, the Consultative Committee and the Commission Meetings.
• Provision of consultancy services for the feasibility and implementation of technical projects in Member States.
• Free registration of selected experts in science and technology to the COMSATS’ panel of consultants.
• Placement of experts from Centres of Excellence at COMSATS Headquarters.
• Facilitation for technology transfer (sale/purchase) arrangements.
• Entitlement to receive COMSATS’ publications (books, journal, newsletter, etc.) free of cost.
• Access to the electronic databases of COMSATS.
