COMSATS is focusing on a few emerging technologies as its thrust areas in view of their usefulness and suitability for the socio-economic uplift of the developing world. Within these selected areas, COMSATS has outlined certain programmes wherein projects are conceptualized, developed and implemented, in consultation with its Focal Points and Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), as well as, with the support of Centres of Excellence and COMSATS partner organizations. These programmes have been designed keeping in view the objectives of the Commission and are subject to revision as per the changing needs of its member states and Network members, in particular, and emerging trends in science and technology, in general.
